Background
Charles Wilson qualified as a Solicitor in 1977. He joined Whiteside & Knowles in 1979, being made a partner in 1981 and is now a director of the incorporated practice.

He is a member of the Law Society Family Law Panel, a member of Resolution and the Law Society Probate Section and a former President of Lancaster, Morecambe and District Law Society.

Charles is married to a solicitor and he and his wife live near to the market town of Kirkby Lonsdale. They have a large grown up family who still like to come home and be cooked for!

In Family Law Charles deals with Injunctions, Divorce and Civil Partnership Breakdown, Children Disputes, Cohabitee Disputes and Financial Disputes after Separation or Divorce, or Dissolution of a Civil Partnership. He routinely handles larger asset cases such as those where Company or other Business Assets are involved.

A trained Mediator and also Collaborative Law Practitioner, Charles is equipped to advise as to the different approaches available to resolve a clients problems.

Charles has an extensive practice in Wills and Probate and Looking after the Affairs of the Elderly. He advises on Lifetime Planning and Taxation, Lasting Powers of Attorney and can act as an Attorney for clients. In addition Charles has been appointed as a Deputy by the Court Of Protection for people who no longer have the necessary mental capacity to manage their own affairs.

Residential & Commercial Conveyancing
In Residential Conveyancing and Commercial Conveyancing, Charles has many long established clients who return to him year after year for their Property work.

Interests
Charles enjoys walking and gardening and village community affairs as well as spending time with friends and family. He has a life long interest in amateur dramatics, having and has been a member of several local groups, although he now prefers to watch rather than perform.
