Background
Jan Crookes is a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives. Jan grew up and was educated in the local area, gaining a BA(Hons) degree at Lancaster University.

She joined Whiteside & Knowles in 1998 after several years experience with other local Solicitors’ firms in Lancaster and Morecambe.

Specialisms
Jan specialises in Residential Conveyancing. Her involvement supports clients with pre-marketing work such as advice on the choice of an estate agent. She steers every stage of the conveyancing process through to completion and the essential post- completion work such as preparation and submission of Stamp Duty Land Tax returns and Land Registry applications.

Her work also includes mortgaging and equity release and plot sales conveyancing for the small developer.

Interests
Outside work, Jan is interested in watching horseracing and equestrianism. She spends time looking after and schooling her own young horse.
